The incomplete and utter History of the ISMS

Stop! Don't navigate away from this page just yet!

The History of the Institution might sound like its going to be a boring read. But, it is in fact based on the isms contained in our database (or at least as far as we've got in using them) - so you'll get to read them in context. It's meant to be funny, and comments back from site reviewers seem to think it is.

The ISMS History currently runs to many chapters and was compiled initially from a lecture on Ismology (the study of ISMS isms) given by the President at the Institution’s Y2K AGM. You will see, if you make it through to the last chapter of our History, that on that occasion the President was unable to complete his speech.

However, since the Y2K AGM, further unread notes from the President's speech keep coming to light and; these are being incorporated into new chapters of our History as, and when, they are verified. Watch our site updates for details of additional chapters.

The full transcription of the story so far is now available to be read by Members and visitors to this site.  Use the menu on the right or the Next and Back links on each page to work through the Chapters. Before you read the incomplete and utter History of the ISMS, you may wish to read our Legal Wafer.
