The requirements for the two Non-Corporate grades of membership are as follows:
Associate (AssISMS)
At least 18 years of age and holding the Institution’s Certificate in Ismology, or an equivalent acceptable to the Institution OR having had at least 5 isms accepted by the Institution for inclusion in its database.
Affiliate (AISMS)
Open to those who are at least 18 years of age and who wish to affiliate themselves to the Institution to get a free Diploma OR in order to study for a formal qualification in Ismology, OR expand their knowledge of isms OR generally contribute to the development of the ISMS in whatever way, shape or form BUT mainly because they want to get a free Diploma.
By order of the Bored Members (2003) there are now designatory letters associated with these non-corporate grades.
