Certificate in Ismology - you will be certified on completion of this course.
- Ism identification and practice
- Database management
- Recording techniques including hours of manput and metric linear footage
- How to keep your ears peeled
- Isms rating techniques
Diploma in Ismology - minimum qualification for corporate membership
- Further development of the certificate sillybus plus
- R&D in Ismology, including codwalloping figures and statisticles
- *VHSS video recording in preparation for the practical examination (see below)
- Isms consultancy - black areas, white areas and, in between, the green areas
- DOGDIRT and soft isms mythology
Practical examination - must be completed as part of the Diploma course.
Candidates will watch a VHSS video recording of a formal speech given by a Fellow of the Institution and must then identify, with at least 95% accuracy, the isms contained therein.**

* Candidates with a degree, GCSEs or CSSDs in statisticles may be exempted from this module, contact us for details.
** ISMS candidates can obtain some idea of how easy or difficult this practical examination can be by reviewing the President’s Y2K AGM speech which summarises the History of the ISMS and may contain an ism or two.
